La dirigencia del club San José quedó preocupada por los largos viajes que debe realizar para jugar sus partidos del grupo 5 de la Copa Libertadores.
El titular del cuadro ‘santo, Edwin Fernández, con resignación dijo que “el grupo en el que quedamos sorteados está equilibrado, pero lo que más nos preocupa son los viajes largos que debemos realizar a países lejanos para jugar los partidos; pero ni modo, así fue el sorteo y hay que cumplir con las obligaciones”.
San José quedó emparejado en el grupo 5 junto con Corinthians de Brasil, vigente campeón mundial de clubes; Millonarios, actual campeón del fútbol colombiano, y Tijuana de México.
Asimismo, comentó que su estadía en Paraguay fue aprovechada para entablar negociaciones con empresarios que ofrecieron jugadores y que recogió videos para mostrárselos al técnico Marcos Ferrufino, quien recomendará la contratación de los refuerzos que requiere para armar un buen plantel.
